The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) is a not-for-profit company owned by the Commonwealth, state and territory ministers responsible for training.
It is unique in Australia's education system. It is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing, evaluating and communicating research and statistics about vocational education and training (VET).
NCVER's vision is for policy and practice in vocational education and training to be based on sound evidence.
Its mission is to be Australia's leading provider of high-quality, independent information on vocational education and training to governments, the sector, industry, and the community.
A board of eight directors, who represent state, territory, and Commonwealth governments, industry, unions, and training authorities, manage NCVER.
