Vocational education and training (VET) increases wages and employability, especially for students completing higher level courses (certificate III and above). In fact, the rate of return for VET students generally exceeds 20%, and can be as much as 50%. And 94% of graduates who do a trade-related apprenticeship, and 81% of all VET graduates (trade or otherwise), get a job six months after graduating.
