NCVER appoints new research managers

29 August 2007

Francesca Beddie has been appointed head of Research Management at NCVER.

She will lead NCVER's Research Management Branch, which is responsible for managing the national competitive research grants program for the VET sector. NCVER has just initiated the first call for proposals under new national research priorities.

Francesca was most recently a consultant in public policy, education and international affairs, and was previously Executive Director of Adult Learning Australia. She also has experience in the Australian Public Service with the Department of Foreign Affairs and AusAID.

Alison Anlezark has been appointed to manage the analysis of the Longitudinal Surveys of Australian Youth (LSAY), a contract recently awarded to NCVER.

The LSAY tracks 15-year-olds through to the age of 25 and helps us understand the choices and experiences of young people as they move from school to further education and training or work.

Alison was most recently the Manager of Research and Evaluation at the Construction Industry Training Board and has worked previously for NCVER in research roles.
