This publication looks at the patterns of course enrolments in Year 12 and the consequences of students' course enrolments on their education, training and work experiences to age 19. It examines the pathways young people enrolled in different senior school subjects take as they go from school to education and training and then into the workforce. The report findings show that subject choices are varied according to gender, earlier school achievement, socioeconomic status, school type and ethnicity. Research report no. 12 This report, published by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER), is part of the Longitudinal Surveys of Australian Youth (LSAY) research program.
