This report looks at changes in participation in Year 12 from 1980 to 2001 and changes in the influences on participation. It also examines subject choices made by students in the final year of secondary school, influences on subject participation and the trends and patterns of subject participation over the last decade. Patterns of participation in subject areas are examined by student characteristics such as gender and school sector.
