This report examines the process of school leaving and the transition from school to post-compulsory education, training and the labour market. Young people who do not stay on to complete senior secondary school are a major focus of the study. Factors considered were influences of school non-completion, post-school experiences of these youth and how socio-demographic and human capital factors influence their labour market activities. The study found a majority of secondary school non-completers left school for work-related reasons or to take up an apprenticeship.
