This report assesses the vocational education and training (VET) experiences and activities of young people in their initial post-school years who left school prior to completion. The report investigates differences in achievement between those who participate in VET after completing year 12 and the achievement of those who left early. The results of the study show that there are differences according to gender, ethnicity and locality. Research report no. 20 This report, published by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER), is part of the Longitudinal Surveys of Australian Youth (LSAY) research program.
