AVETMISS VET providers

9 September 2013 (Revised 31 July 2014)

About

The Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS) for VET providers is the data standard for the National VET Provider Collection. The collection contains information on training programs delivered by government funded and privately operated training providers.

The VET Provider Standard is presented in two documents: collection specifications and data element definitions. The collection specifications describe the files and fields to be collected. The data element definitions define the fields or data elements used in the collection.

Results of the National VET Provider Collection are reported in the Students and courses publications.

Release 7.0

Release 7.0 of the Standard applies to training activity from 1 January 2014.

Changes to AVETMISS release 6.1 and 7.0

Release 7.0 of the Standard was published in April 2013. Two documents describing changes to release 6.1 and 7.0  in detail have been released.

The first document describes the changes from release 6.1 to release 7.0 and was first published in September 2012.

The second document describes changes that have occurred since release 7.0 came into effect and was published in July 2014. These changes were made due to the enhanced reporting requirements for registered training organisations (RTOs).
