Research Officer – National Surveys Branch (LSAY)

The National Surveys branch manages, conducts and disseminates national surveys that contribute to policy, stakeholder and student decision making.

This position will support the data collection, reporting, analysis, research, and publication functions of the Longitudinal Surveys of Australian Youth (LSAY).

To be successful in this position you will require high-level co-ordination, liaison and communication skills with a demonstrated understanding of quantitative research and statistical analysis.

Appointment Details

  • Full-time, fixed term until 28 June 2019, based in Adelaide.
  • Will consider applications for part-time working hours
  • Salary will be in the range of $66,000 - $75,000 (plus 12% superannuation) commensurate with skills and experience.

Data Analyst – National Surveys Branch

The National Surveys branch manages, conducts and disseminates national surveys that contribute to policy, stakeholder and student decision making.

This position will be responsible for data compilation, analysis, and reporting using NCVER survey data. This position will predominately involve work on the Student Outcomes Survey and other surveys as required.

To be successful in this position, you will require experience with statistical applications, with intermediate to advanced skills in SAS highly regarded.  High-level quantitative research and statistical analysis skills as well as good organisational skills and high level communication and liaison skills are a must.

Digital Publishing Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced digital publisher who has a creative flair for visual and functional design, combined with high-level writing and verbal communication skills, to help us achieve our mission of delivering products and services that engage, inform and influence all participants in Australia’s VET sector.

Working in a small, highly-productive team, you will be responsible for collaborating with researchers and data analysts to develop targeted, informative and innovative products - from research reports and infographics, to interactive data tools and social media content. Appointment details

  • This is a full-time, fixed-term role based in Adelaide.
  • Generous working conditions.
  • The salary range for this role is $67,000 – $73,000 commensurate with skills and experience.
  • 12% superannuation is payable in addition to salary.
