About the VET in Schools Collection

This collection provides data for vocational education and training (VET) undertaken by school students as part of their senior secondary certificate of education (SSCE), where the training is nationally recognised or delivered by schools or other training providers.

Data are collected and reported via the senior secondary assessment authority in each state or territory (known as Boards of Studies) to NCVER using the VET Provider Collection Specifications and the AVETMISS validation software.

Information on participation, students, courses and qualifications, and subjects, relating to VET in Schools students of all ages, is included.

For collection timings and more information see our VET statistics explained page.
