What capabilities are needed for VET educators and other professionals to undertake VET applied research? This document presents and explains the VET Applied Research Developmental Framework created as part of a larger research project on VET and innovation, VET applied research: driving VET’s role in the innovation system. The framework can be used to help the VET sector to build its capability to support industry innovation through its applied research expertise. VET is ideally positioned to investigate industry’s problems and bring about change in the workplace and, thus, contribute to the innovation system.
