This resource presents information on employers’ use and views of the vocational education and training (VET) system. The findings relate to the various ways in which Australian employers use the VET system and unaccredited training to meet their skill needs and their satisfaction with these methods of training. The resource also looks at staff proficiency and the effects on the organisation if staff are not fully proficient in their job.
The figures in this resource are derived from the Survey of Employer Use and Views of the VET System. The survey was conducted by telephone interview between February and May 2017 and the results relate to employers’ training experiences in the 12 months preceding their interview.
Time series data from 2005-2017 are presented where available.
