System information NCVER records
The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) will automatically record the following general information from our webserver when you visit our site:
- The internet domain for your internet service
- The type of browser you are using
- The type of operating system you use
- The date and time you visit our site, and the specific web pages you visit
- If you linked to us from another site, the address of that website.
This information is used for statistical analysis only, to help us manage our site and make it more useful to you. This tracking system does not record information about individuals.
Personal information NCVER records
Email address
NCVER will record your email address only if you send us a message or provide it as part of the user registration process. This personal information will only be used for the purposes for which you have provided it, and will not be added to a mailing list unless you have provided it for that purpose.
Other personal information
When you send us a completed form that includes your personal details (for example, user registration, to enrol for a forum or to order publications), we will collect personally identifiable information, such as name, address, email address and other contact or request details. This information will be added to our customer database so that you may be sent further related information. You will not be sent any unrelated material. Your provision of the information requested will indicate your agreement to this. Please contact the Privacy Officer at NCVER if you have any questions.
You may request to be removed from our customer database or mailing lists or inspect your personal information on our files at any time by contacting the Privacy Officer. For information about NCVER's management of Personal Information please see our Privacy Policy.
Our internet and internal network and databases are protected from unauthorised access using current technologies. You should be aware, however, that there are inherent risks associated with the transmission of information across the internet. For those who do not wish to send their personal information via an electronic form, please print the form and send by post.
Google Analytics
In addition to webserver logs, the NCVER website also uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Inc. Reports obtained from Google Analytics are used to help improve the NCVER website.
Google Analytics uses 'cookies' to help analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

NCVER Twitter
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages. Under Twitter rules, spamming is not allowed. NCVER reserves the right to block anyone we think is spamming us. For Twitter terms of service refer to http://twitter.com/tos.

You may link from your site to our sites, provided that it is clearly indicated on your site that the content being accessed is the property of NCVER.
