Overview
NCVER’s DataHub is a secure platform providing authorised users with secure access to customised data and reporting products not publicly available on the NCVER website.
Users can access a range of tailored tools, including DataBuilders, interactive visualisations, and tables, all designed to support analysis and reporting.
For more information on the data NCVER collects, visit:

Who is the DataHub for?
DataHub is currently available for authorised users from:
- Registered training organisations (RTOs),
- Government departments that deal with matters related to VET
- Other VET-related bodies
What's available for RTOs?
RTOs can access data tools designed to help them better understand, evaluate, and improve their training delivery and student outcomes.
Currently, there are two products available on DataHub tailored for RTOs.
RTO VET Explorer
This interactive data visualisation tool puts your RTO’s nationally reported training data in your hands. With RTO VET Explorer, you can:
- Interrogate your RTO’s student, enrolment, and completion data
- Use filters to explore your data and compare with similar RTOs
- Download tailored data extracts for your own reporting
RTO Outcomes Explorer (New in 2025!)
Launched in February 2025, RTO Outcomes Explorer gives RTOs access to customised insights from the National Student Outcomes Survey. Use it to explore how your students fare across key measures such as:
- Student satisfaction with aspects of training and providers
- Employment outcomes
- Further study outcomes
Data in RTO VET Explorer and RTO Outcomes Explorer will be updated annually.
What’s Coming to DataHub?
RTO VET Explorer – 2024 Data Update
Expected release: September 2025
RTO VET Explorer will be updated to include Total VET students and courses 2024 data, enabling RTOs to analyse and compare their most recent performance with other providers.
RTO Outcomes Explorer – 2025 Data Update
Expected release: Early 2026
The next release of RTO Outcomes Explorer will incorporate results from the 2025 National Student Outcomes Survey, providing the latest insights into student satisfaction, employment, and further study outcomes.
Registering your RTO
NCVER sources information on all RTOs from training.gov.au (TGA), namely RTO ID, and the CEO email address in order to verify initial access. If an RTO has changed its name since the data were collected, the change may not be reflected in the products.
Only the CEO can register the organisation for access, they can then add organisation administrators and members.
For assistance with registration, logging in, and further support options, please visit the DataHub Help page.
Government departments and VET related bodies
Commonwealth, state and territory departments that deal with matters related to VET and other VET related bodies can access a range of tailored data products through DataHub.
Access is managed within each organisation by a primary contact person, who can then add organisation administrators and members.
If you're unsure who your nominated contact is or need help with access, contact our client support team support@ncver.edu.au for further information and assistance.
User roles and responsibilities
DataHub has three user roles — CEO/Primary Contact, Administrator, and Member — each with specific responsibilities and access levels.
Only the CEO/Primary Contact or an Administrator can add new users to their organisation. To do this, sign in to DataHub and select the ‘Manage organisation’ button on the dashboard.

About the data
The information presented in DataHub products is drawn from data submitted to NCVER through our various administrative collections and national surveys — including the National VET Provider Collection, National Apprentice and Trainee Collection and the National Student Outcomes Survey.
For information on data accuracy and privacy, view our:
Data security and Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
To help keep your data secure, all users must set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) when accessing DataHub. Your email is used as the default method, and you’ll have the option to add other MFA methods.
Each time you sign in, you’ll be prompted to enter a verification code to confirm your identity.
Browser and device compatibility
DataHub is not compatible with Internet Explorer, which is no longer supported by Microsoft. For the best experience, use a modern browser (like Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) on a PC, laptop, or tablet device.
Account removal
If your organisation no longer requires access to DataHub, please contact our Client Support team at support@ncver.edu.au to request removal.
