Each year, the National Student Outcomes Survey (SOS) collects important information about VET students’ satisfaction with their training, their employment outcomes and if they go on to further study. The survey is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training.
The 2018 survey was designed, subject to response rates, to provide data for registered training organisations (RTO) with:
- 100 or more domestic graduates in 2017
- 860 or more domestic subject completers in 2017.
The RTOs that meet the above criteria and have enough survey responses for their students will be provided with a report summarising their students’ survey responses, alongside national and state comparisons.
The reports will be available in early 2019. NCVER will disseminate these reports via a secure Portal, which is managed by the fieldwork contractor, Ipsos.
A nominated contact from each eligible RTO will need to obtain a unique username and password to access the secure portal.
If you think you are eligible for a report, please complete the form below to nominate a representative from your RTO to access the secure portal in early 2019.
For further information on the survey, see the Frequently asked questions about the survey.
NCVER collects and manages personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles described in the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012. Please note that your name and contact details will be collected and used for the purpose of providing RTOs with the VET student outcomes report specific to their RTO. If your contact details change during the period of servicing your request, you may provide your new contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
