This publication provides a national framework for the collection and reporting of information on apprentice and trainee activity in Australia. It presents a set of file specifications that are the authoritative national reference for definitions, context, file structures, relationships and rules for the apprenticeship collection.

Release 8.0 of these collection specifications will apply from 1 January 2027.
