New research commissioned by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) shows the heightened interest in the challenges posed by integrating the tertiary education sector, and education’s role in assisting the disadvantaged.
Dr Tom Karmel, Managing Director, NCVER said the ten new research projects will focus on a variety of subjects from literacy and numeracy to Indigenous learners.
“As the vocational education and training and higher education sectors become more integrated, there is a real interest in further examining the issues thrown up by this policy push,” Dr Karmel said.
“We look forward to working with the successful research teams to develop insightful research that informs policy and practice in the Australian education and training sector.”
