This report is an interim publication for a project that outlines what is known about the quality of teaching, learning and assessment practices in Australian VET and how it might be better measured. It is based on a review of relevant literature and is a precursor to consultations with RTOs that are currently occurring in the next stage of the project.
Validation of assessment tools, processes and outcomes is an important element of the quality of assessment in vocational education and training (VET). This research explores how registered training organisations (RTOs) conduct independent validation of assessment (IVA) and what industry involvement they have in these processes.
