The National Centre for Vocational Education Research’s (NCVER) submission responds to the emerging theme of improving VET workforce data to support more effective workforce planning, as outlined in the consultation paper Developing a blueprint for the VET workforce. It focuses on past and recent attempts to quantify the national VET workforce and detail its characteristics, the issues associated with these efforts and possible models, which could provide valuable insights to enhance quality in the VET sector, through the development of a blueprint for the VET workforce.
